When it comes to frosting, my absolute favorite ... hands-down, there's no question about that ... is 7-Minute Marshmallow Frosting. Of course, I like buttercream or cream cheese frosting. But for me, they can't hold a 7-minute candle Frostmallow Marshmallow. Especially when paired with a rich chocolate cake. Or delicious and fun S'mores cupcakes or fudgy pie S'mores. Or really ... when it's just eaten straight from the spoon.
There's something about the marshmallow frosting that I like.
I learned how to make 7-Minute Frostmallow 7 minutes from my best friend's mother ... who frozen the most moist and delicious chocolate cake with it. And I decided it was time to share the delights of marshmallows with all of you ~ step by step.

To start creating this delicious flavor, combine some sugar, cream tartar, a little salt, water, and 2 egg whites on top of the double boiler. Shake with a handheld electric mixer for about one minute just to put it all together.
How to Make Frostmallow 7-Minutes 7 Minutes (Step-by-Step)
Now technically, you have to use a double boiler for this. But ... believe it or not ... I don't have it. So I just made my 7-minute 7-minute Frostmallow in a medium metal bowl which I then put on a small pan.
Bring some water to a boil in the bottom portion of the double boiler. Place egg white mixture over boiling water, being sure that boiling water does not touch the bottom of the top pan.
{If this happens, it could cause your frosting to become grainy.}
With the egg white the mixture is over boiling water, beat constantly on high speed with electric mixer for 7 minutes.
Remove from heat and beat in vanilla.
Let cool for about 10 minutes and then immediately frost cupcakes, cake, or tart.
Enjoy!
